PhD Program in Ancient Music at the Washington University in St. Louis

The Department of Classics at Washington University in St. Louis (USA) is now accepting applications for admission in Fall 2015 to a new PhD program in Classics with a special track in Ancient Music.  In addition to general requirements in Classics, students in the Ancient Music track will work with faculty in the Departments of Classics and Music studying musicology and ethnomusicology, as well as Greek and Roman music.  PhD students will receive full tuition remission and a generous stipend.   More information is available on the department’s web site (http://classics.artsci.wustl.edu/special-track-ancient-music), and potential applicants can also contact Cathy Keane, our Director of Graduate Studies (ckeane@wustl.edu).
