PhD Program in Ancient Greek Music at the Washington University in St. Louis

Washington University in St. Louis (USA) is now accepting applications for admission in Fall 2017 to the PhD program in Classics with a special track in Ancient Music. In addition to general requirements in Classics, students in the Ancient Music track will work with faculty in the Departments of Classics and Music studying musicology and ethnomusicology, as well as Greek and Roman music. Previous training in Greek and Latin is required, but previous musical training is not. PhD students receive full tuition remission and a generous stipend.   More information is available on the department’s web site (http://classics.artsci.wustl.edu/special-track-ancient-music), and potential applicants can also contact Cathy Keane, our Director of Graduate Studies (ckeane@wustl.edu).
